Evaluation of rainfall-runoff regime in the headstream area of the Blanice River with regard to major events ABSTRACT The bachelor thesis provides an understanding of the rainfall-runoff conditoins in the upper basin of the South Bohemian river Blanice focusing on the flood situation. It deals with the evaluation of significant rainfall-runoff episodes in the basin in terms of their frequency, seasonality and weather causal situation. The analysis used data from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute for profile Blanický mlýn for the years 1952 to 2009. Attention is also paid to physical-geographical conditions and their possible influence on the occurrence of flood situations. Described in detail was a flood in late June and July 2009.
